Nursing at NLC
The Nursing Department of Northeast Lakeview College has applied for initial approval with the Texas Board of Nursing to begin an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program.
The Nursing Department has also submitted the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program for approval with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Program Purpose
The Associate of Applied Science will prepare students with the knowledge and skills to provide entry level nursing care as defined by the Texas Nursing Practice Act and enforced by the Texas Board of Nursing. The program will address workforce needs and the existing and emerging health care demands of the community. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
